How to set up QuB Wi-Fi.
Connect your smart windows, change networks, and troubleshoot offline status in the QuB Connect app.
Before you start
- Sign in to QuB Connect with owner or admin access to the correct home.
- Have the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
- Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and allow QuB Connect to use it.
- Stand near the windows you are configuring. The app sends Wi-Fi details over Bluetooth.
- Check that the router has internet access and the windows have power.
How to connect QuB windows to Wi-Fi
- Open Settings → Configure Wi-Fi in QuB Connect.
- Choose the whole home, a group, or an individual window.
- Tap Choose from nearby networks to select your network, or enter its name manually. A saved home network may already be filled in.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password carefully. Check capitalization and use the password visibility control if needed.
- If desired, select Save this network as the default for this home.
- Start the update and stay nearby while the app sends the details and checks the connection.
- Wait for each window to show Online. Check the individual results if you configured more than one window.
How do I change Wi-Fi after replacing my router?
Use Settings → Configure Wi-Fi again with the new network name and password. You do not need to create a new home or add the same window again.
Check any pre-filled network name before starting. Updating a saved home default is not proof that every window connected. Wait for Online for each selected window.
What do the Wi-Fi setup messages mean?
- Sending credentials…
- The app is sending network details over Bluetooth. Stay nearby.
- Checking connection…
- The app is checking whether the window reached the network and cloud. Setup is still in progress.
- Online
- The window's online connection has been confirmed.
- Sent — not online yet
- The details were sent, but online status was not confirmed. Check the network and password before retrying.
- Out of Bluetooth range
- Move closer to that window and retry. Check Bluetooth permission too.
- Wi-Fi connected; connecting to cloud
- The window reached Wi-Fi but has not finished connecting to the cloud. Wait for Online.
- Wi-Fi connected; cloud not confirmed
- Wi-Fi was detected, but cloud confirmation did not arrive. Check internet access and the window's status again.
Messages can vary with app and window firmware versions. A successful send or a Wi-Fi connection alone does not confirm remote control is ready.
Why is my QuB window not connecting to Wi-Fi?
The network is missing from the list
Move nearer a window and try Choose from nearby networks again. If scanning is unavailable or your network is not listed, type the exact network name and password manually. Manual entry still requires Bluetooth to send the details.
The window is out of Bluetooth range
Move close to the affected window. Confirm Bluetooth is enabled and QuB Connect has permission in your phone's settings. Retry from there.
The details were sent, but the window stays offline
Recheck the network name and password, router internet access, and Wi-Fi signal near that window. Stay nearby while the app checks the result. Use Retry failed windows when available; successfully configured windows are not resent.
Wi-Fi connects, but cloud connection does not finish
Check that the router can reach the internet. “Connecting to cloud” is not completion. Return to Home and check the latest window status before relying on remote control.
I cannot find Configure Wi-Fi
Confirm you selected the correct home and have owner or admin access. Guests should ask their home owner or admin to configure the windows.
Can I use Bluetooth while a window is offline?
For nearby control, expand the window on Home and use its Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection control to select Bluetooth. Your phone must be nearby, Bluetooth permission must be allowed, and access to the home must have been verified.
Bluetooth control does not restore the window's internet connection. Remote control and cloud automations require the window to be online.
Still cannot connect?
Email info@qubconnect.com with the window name, exact setup message, phone type, and whether one or all windows are affected. Mention if you recently changed your router. Do not send your Wi-Fi password.
